(Musical Director / Pianist)  Michael Orland is currently the Pianist, Arranger and Associate Musical Director for the hit FOX-TV series AMERICAN IDOL. Through this amazing opportunity, Michael has appeared on OPRAH, ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT, ACCESS HOLLYWOOD and a record number of appearances on THE ELLEN SHOW. At the end of every IDOL season, Michael also accompanies the top 3 contestants to New York for appearances on REGIS & KELLY, CBS EARLY SHOW, and concerts on the plaza for THE TODAY SHOW. He has collaborated with music industry giants such as Burt Bacharach, Neil Sedaka, Diane Warren, Elton John, Dolly Parton, Martina McBride, Jennifer Lopez, and Tony Bennett all as a result of American Idol. He also served as a pianist/coach for the successful summer series AMERICA’S GOT TALENT (Seasons 1 & 2) and a few seasons back AMERICAN JUNIORS and has Associate Produced two hit singles (GOD BLESS THE U.S.A. and WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS NOW IS LOVE) for AMERICAN IDOL as well as the hit compilation CD from AMERICAN JUNIORS. Michael is currently working on a solo piano album due out soon.

Agua Caliente Review by Michael Orland
Here’s what I love about Agua Caliente: it’s a hop, skip and a jump from L.A. (120 miles door to door ), so I can get in my car and within two hours, I’m sitting at a Keno machine. It’s also five miles from my favorite Rancho Mirage resident and partner in crime, actress Kaye Ballard.
Upcoming shows are big, big, big and so diverse. The Doobie Brothers, Martin Short, Cheap Trick (whad’ja call me?), Cindi Lauper, and Chelsea Handler to name a few. Maybe you’ll see me there for one of my fave rockers, Melissa Ethridge. Then there’ll be Jay Leno, who’s there in June, unless he moves time slots again (what? I can be topical!).

Morongo Review by Michael Orland
My tour of the entertainment facilities at Morongo started in the nightclub VIBE. It couldn’t be more aptly named with this really great “vibe” – a cross between a hip New York rock club and a splashy Vegas show room. The capacity ranges from 800 – 1000 people (depends if the audience is sitting or standing). The club consists of 3 levels/3 floors. Want a killer view? Rent one of the private boxes for 20 – 25 people, and you see ALL the action: not only on stage, but in the entire club.
